How To Travel To Tien Giang?

Because, Tien Giang (My Tho) is about 70km from Saigon, so you can travel easily by private cars or motorbikes, boats or public buses…

 

By Public Bus

you can take buses in the Mien Tay bus station or contact the companies operating the Saigon–Tien Giang route, such as Thong Nhat. Also, you can buy a tour, “Saigon – My Tho day tour,” from a Vietnam tour operator, of which prices are from VND 250,000 (USD 12) to VND 300,000 (USD 15) per person.

 

By Motorbike/Private Car

if traveling from Saigon to Tien Giang, you can travel in two ways: from Phu Lam roundabout through road 50 (Long An–Go Cong–My Tho) or Trung Luong Highway, which will save your travel time (about 1.30 hours).

By boats

If traveling by river, you will need to depart from Saigon and Can Tho; this type of transport is also quite popular in Tien Giang. However, traveling by boat at high speed on the river is quite dangerous. If you cannot swim or fear water, you should not take this transport.

For those who love the beach, this will be an ideal option. The beach is only 50km from My Tho. You will totally enjoy sea activities on the Tan Thanh beach. As soon as you arrive, you will find a soft sandy beach. Tan Thanh is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam.

 

Vinh Trang Temple

All visitors want to visit this temple once during the trip to Tien Giang (My Tho). This temple is the biggest one in Tien Giang, which is only 5 km from My Tho so it is very convenient for the trip. The temple is on Nguyen Trung Truc street in My An, My Phong and offers unique architecture and art. Vinh Trang temple was built in the 19th century and is a harmonious mix of Asian and European architecture.

Although Vinh Trang’s architecture is affected by the architecture of other countries, it still keeps the main features of Vietnamese architecture through Buddhist statues.

Cai Be Floating Market

You will regret not visiting Cai Be floating market during your trip to Tien Giang. The market is in Cai Be district and is one of the most bustling and hustling markets in Tien Giang. This market is the place for exchanging and selling products, operating from early morning to night. Therefore, Cai Be floating market is always as busy as a street on the river.

 

Dong Tam Snake Farm

It is very attractive to adventure lovers as soon as they hear the name of this place. Located on the bank of Tien river with an area of 30 hectares surrounded by green trees. This is considered the museum of the first snakes in Vietnam. That is why it attracts a lot of domestic and international visitors. In Dong Tam snake farm, you can see many types of snakes (over 400 species) from poisoned to normal ones.

Thoi Son Island

The island is in Thoi Son, My Tho city which is very beautiful and attractive to visitors. When visiting Thoi Son, you can gain experiences as if you are local residents in the watery area.
